Classes have (finally) started for the Spring Semester. So far, I have only had one class to attend (CS100W), though the whole day was already better than the last several weeks have been.

The projects for the class, as I understand it, are what I will call "Group-Individual". We will be working in groups, but we shall each turn in a proposal. The class has gasp! 8000 words to write. I would be worried, but I've written that many in a week for NaNoWriMo. The teacher (Debra) is attempting to get the class to also count for Area V, but there has been talk for several semesters that it would count for Area R and it hasn't yet---I'll wait and see towards the end of the semester when I sign up for classes for the summer/fall.

Tomorrow will bring a fairly intense day, with four classes. Networking and Parallel Processing should be fun. I'm interested to see what Operating Systems will be like, and Formal Languages will be a lot of work---but it is a foundational course for compilers, which is a secondary interest for me.

Here's to a healthy and bright semester ahead!
