The Fall 2009 semester is officially over, with just a few trailing finals yet to finish. This semester had several interesting classes --- MATH 108 told me that I'm going to be happy with a minor (if, that is, the Uni ever gets around to officially adding same to my records). CS 146 told me that really, I am interested in programming and decent at it (if CS 151 told me that it can be very tedious). CS 147 re-affirmed my distaste for hardware, though I should do okay in the class. CS 49C wasn't very interesting, though I did practice my C. I was happy with all my professors, and with my likely grades---save for Proofs, where I'll be happy with a B and an A will likely be impossible. But a B, I'm told, is still respectable.

This semester also had fun projects, both curricular and extra-curricular. CS 151's final project was a Mancala game, using the patterns we learned in the course. I was given too easy of a programming task, though my group-mates gave me positive enough reviews to get full credit. There was also the extra-curricular game development challenge, where I collaborated with a team of 4 others to craft a game in a month. Unfortunately, we did not do well, but some of that might be the size of the download, which turned some people off---but we did complete, as opposed to one-fifth of the groups. I did not participate in the facebook game challenge, though I did start learning python in the pretext of competing. I still have designs to complete the game I had in mind, though it will likely be self-hosted and not on facebook.

Now that this semester is finished, I look forward to next semester, where I will take fun (hopefully) courses such as Parallel Processing, Computer Networks, and Operating Systems. In the time between semesters, I will likely continue to study python and come up with a project to do in the meantime. Until then, ta!
