This is the first post to my ikiwiki-powered blog. While it is not as pretty as my wordpress blog, it allows me to edit my entries in vim instead of an online form or my clunky AIR application (though it does surprisingly well for how fast it was developed); while most people seem to be eager to use a web interface over a command-line text editor, I prefer the elegance of text. I also like that, rather than using mysql or postgres, ikiwiki uses revision control. Also, with the migration to a less-downtime server, I did not have to install as many packages and do as much setup.

Fear not, though, dedicated followers of my wordpress blog (all zero of you)---my wordpress posts have been migrated to this blog! Joy of joys! I will be going through them, adjusting urls where necessary.
